Openwork stitches create deliberate holes and open areas in your fabric, but they are completely different from traditional lace. Worked in normal-weight yarns, these stitches become interesting textural elements rather than delicate details.
Lace lightens a garment, lets air move through it, and turns a flat knit into a graphic of holes and lines. It shifts drape toward weightless and reads as refined, structured luxury.
Specify lace for summer-weight pieces, sheer layering, or statement sleeves. Every yarn-over is counted and placed by hand, creating delicate geometric repeats.

A swatch is the start of the conversation, not the end of it. We write a full pattern for your chosen stitch, knit an individual tension swatch before each garment, and produce from a single piece to 1000 or more, with one artisan per garment.
How designers obtain physical swatches.
Screen images cannot convey the drape, weight, and hand-feel of genuine hand-knits. We knit and courier 20 × 20 cm physical swatches directly to your design studio.
Seeing Yarns Available in India: Swatches allow fashion designers to touch and evaluate the extensive range of yarns accessible directly through our Indian mills. Sourcing yarns locally in India avoids complex customs tariffs, import duties, and transit delays, keeping collection budgets and lead times predictable.
We source premium Indian fibres including organic cotton, handspun indigenous wools, silken blends, and fine natural animal fibres, as well as yarns imported from around the world and mohair spun or dyed to order.

We Invoice for Swatches
KOCO invoices at a nominal swatch fee plus express international courier. We always knit a full 20 × 20 cm tension sample on bamboo needles.
Delivery in 1–2 Weeks
Plain swatches arrive in your studio within 1–2 weeks. Once you approve the swatch and yarn in hand, we check and confirm your production tension/gauge and pattern.
